CVHT was extremely disappointed by the recent decision of Waverley Borough Council to refuse planning permission for the proposed Care Home containing 20 Community Beds and the Health Worker Accommodation.
This has been a scheme that we have worked tirelessly on in close consultation, and with the support of, the NHS, Clinical Commissioning Group and Surrey County Council, and which would have been a tremendous asset to our community.
However, we have listened to views that have been expressed by others and accept there were aspects of the proposal that people objected to, so we will consult with all Stakeholders including organisations who represent different groups in the Community to work out the most effective way forward.
